Position: Market Manager/Site Coordinator. Position starting at $20/hour.

Term Agreement: You are hired for the 2024 Market Season. Tuesdays at Head Lake Park in Haliburton and Saturdays in downtown Minden

Duties and Responsibilities: Report directly to assigned Association Board member. During the Term, you shall:

1) Be the on-site person to organize and create a smoothly running market.

2) Transport HCFMA tables, tents and other property as needed to and from each market location.

3) Set up HCFMA tent, tables, signage, etc., at each market location and remove at closure of market.

4) Maintain a Market journal with detailed entries.

5) Liaise with and nurture positive relationships with market neighbours and landlords, and other key stakeholders as directed by the Board.

6) Support vendors in the market in an advisory capacity, as a small business development resource person.

7) Provide input into and ensure compliance with Vendor Rules and Regulations.

8) Address issues and resolve problems during the market season with vendors and/or customers. (Unresolved issues will be referred to the Board.)

9) Recruit, train and manage HCFMA volunteers at the Market.

10) Actively create content on social media platforms, maintain HCFMA website and social media accounts.

11) Manage HCFMA emails and phone calls.

12) Engage in promotional activities during and outside of regular Market hours.

13) Provide regular Market updates and reports to the Board.

14) Report to Board designate, any matters that require Board attention.

15) Attend Board meetings in a non-voting capacity.
